Seoul

Took a short overnight trip to Seoul.
Airport was nicely designed. The flight from Pusan was 40 minutes. Apparently lots of people commute on it. ALmost everyone just had briefcases or messenger bags, not even carry-on luggage.

Checked out some office spaces in the Gangnam area os Seoul. Crazy! This photo is infront of the Lamborghini dealership right across the street from the Ferrari dealership. The main streets in this area overall looks the same as any rich city. Not much character. Clean and new.

Stacked parking with a turnstyle. It was efficient.
This wouldn't be a bad design studio. Don't know if I want to pay the bill tho.
I of course could not stay on the main street, I wondered away and one street over...old school Korean layout. I would rather have a studio in a place I can remodel and customize.

Samgaetang and Crab.

Crab!
Crab roe! Mashitah! Delicious!
Packed in styrofoam container so you can bring it home and taped around the edges. Doesn't smell-up the car and keeps it warm. Yummy! It was actually too big to finish. We had one each so since it was eaten at my place, I took the leftovers and had a crab omelette the next morning.
Couple days earlier had Chicken and ginger soup. The chicken is stuffed with rice and ginger. Feels healthy and it's very good. Like it cuz its best of both worlds, satisfying and refreshing.

Random stuff

This is a dry cleaner, laundry. If you pay them to wash and press your clothes, do they then stick it outside in the polluted air? What's up with that.
So you can see how we eat lunch everyday. Typical small restaurant in Pusan.
Shoe racks at a large restaurant. Electronic sliding door on the left.
Umbrella rack at the entrance of the restaurant.
Captured this old lady feeding the birds.

Korean longweekend

It was the harvest or moon festival couple weeks ago. This picture is around noon, normally crazy crowded at this time but the long weekend means everyone is visiting family and stores are closed.
After working for half the weekend, expats don't get much of a break ( I got one day out of the four day holiday) or the 25% monthly bonus that locals get for the holiday. We hit-up Hyundae beach. It's a really nice beach, the area is expensive and when I visit, I wonder if I should move cuz it is fun.
Then I see all the foreigners. It reminds me who really wants to travel to another country and not see the locals. It was particularly bad this weekend since all the locals spent time with family.
Yummy grilled shellfish. This is pregrilled if you're wondering. How can it be bad when it's super fresh and has butter and some peppers!

Prepping the charcoal for the table grills. Not exactly safe as you can walk up to it.

office neighborhood

Since I work in a new/old pretty much another office now, I have anew neighborhood. the good thing is the cafeteria is now a small local restaurant so the food is much better. Of course I have tried everything atleast once and have begun my third and fourth round of eating the same dish.

No way is this jumble safe.

Why would this make sense? Customer sits over electrical outlet. Like how my water cup is above it.

I eat too much meat. This is pork at the cafeteria. Sometimes we eat there for dinner cuz we are wor
king late. yummy but......not again!
Chicken feet!!! Had some right across the street from our cafeteria. I normally like the stuff, but this was just spicy and chewy. Need some more flavor, note to all - spice is not a flavor. It can enhance and detract, but not a flavor! Yeah I live in Korea, surrounded by the stuff. arghh.

Shinsegae cafeteria.

Conveyor belt sushi! Love sushi! Too bad it cost more here. Can't wait to go to Japan and try it in the land of its creator!
You get your own tea in the lacquer wood box and individual hot water tap too.
curry and rice at the cafeteria, not bad for 6 dollars.

Yeah, it's a bunch of seasoned meat in an open refrigerated box. haha. I like asia more everyday.

More apartment views

Hi! Took a hiatus. Promise to post more! Promise.
Pics of electronics control at my place. the last one is a panic button. You press the red button and security rushes over. Video screen for door, water heater and room temp controls.

Pics of outside the new apartment, overall boring suburban area. Quiet and safe.
My closet, its nice. Has a full make-up type set-up. haha.
View from my room at night, It's alright.
